Data Deletion
How to delete your books, reading data or your entire Reflow account.

You are in control of your library. You can delete individual items yourself at any time, or delete your account and everything associated with it — directly in the app, or by asking us.
Request deletion by email
Send the request from the email address linked to your account so we can verify it.

Uploaded books
Open the book’s page from your library and choose Delete. The book is removed — including the original PDF, the processed reading version, and its highlights, notes and bookmarks — from your account on all your devices.
Highlights, notes and bookmarks
In the reader, open the menu and choose Highlights, Notes or Bookmarks, then tap the delete icon next to an item. You can also tap a highlight on the page and choose Delete.
Books downloaded for offline reading
Go to Settings → Offline storage and choose Remove next to a book to delete the copy stored on that device. Downloaded books are also removed when you sign out. This does not delete the book from your account.
Reading progress and statistics
Reading progress and statistics are deleted together with the book they belong to, or with your account. To delete them without deleting your books or account, contact us (see below).
Delete your account
In the app, go to Profile → Account → Delete account, confirm with your password and choose Delete my account. This cannot be undone. It:
- deletes every book you uploaded, with its content, reading progress, sessions, highlights, notes, bookmarks and files;
- deletes your profile photo and signs you out of all devices;
- permanently removes your name, email address, phone number and password, so the account can no longer be used or linked to you.
Remaining records, such as reading preferences, daily reading totals and collections, are kept only in de-identified form. To have those erased too, email us (below).
If you can no longer sign in to the app, you can request deletion by email (below).
Request deletion by email
You can ask us to delete your account, or specific categories of data without closing your account — for example, all reading statistics. Email info@effileap.com from the address linked to your account and tell us what you would like removed.
What to expect
- Deletions you make in the app take effect immediately in your account and synchronise to your other devices.
- For email requests, we will acknowledge your request and may ask you to verify that the account is yours.
- Stored files of deleted books are removed from our storage by a background job shortly after deletion.
- Copies in our backups are deleted when those backups expire, after 14 days.
- We may retain limited information where required by law, or to resolve disputes and prevent abuse, as described in our Privacy Policy.
