Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you use Reflow.

Effective date: 10 October 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Effileap Technologies Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) governing your use of the Reflow applications, website and related services (the “Service”). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country if higher, to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.

3. Account registration

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Your responsibilities and acceptable use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to:

  • upload content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes anyone’s intellectual property or other rights;
  • use the Service to distribute, publish or share copyrighted works without authorisation;
  • attempt to access other users’ accounts or data, or to bypass security or usage limits;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure, except where the law expressly allows;
  • upload malware or files intended to harm the Service or other users;
  • use the Service in a way that violates applicable law.

5. Uploaded content and copyright ownership

You keep ownership of your content. We do not claim ownership of the books, documents, notes or other content you upload or create (“Your Content”).

You are responsible for making sure you have the necessary rights to upload and process Your Content — for example, because you own the work, it is in the public domain, it is licensed to you, or your use is otherwise permitted by law. See our Copyright Policy.

6. Your licence to us

To operate the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, transform and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you — for example, to extract text, create your reading version, synchronise it across your devices and provide features you request. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except as needed for backup, legal or security purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Content processing, AI and OCR

The Service automatically analyses your PDFs to identify text, structure and images, and to rebuild them as a reflowable reading format. Where supported, optical character recognition (OCR) may be used for image-based documents.

Automated processing is not perfect. The reading version may contain errors, omissions or formatting differences from the original. The original file is not modified, and you should consult it where accuracy matters.

Optional AI features generate responses automatically. They may be inaccurate or incomplete and are not professional advice. AI features never alter the text of your book.

8. Prohibited content

You may not upload content that is illegal, that infringes the rights of others, that exploits or endangers children, or that contains malicious code. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

9. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time — see Data Deletion.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to export Your Content.

10. Subscriptions and payments

The Service does not currently offer paid plans. If we introduce them, the applicable terms will be presented before any purchase and added here.

11. Third-party services

The Service may integrate with third-party services (for example, app stores, sign-in providers or cloud file providers). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

12. Service availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features over time. If we discontinue the Service, we will give reasonable notice where possible so you can retrieve Your Content.

13. Our intellectual property

The Service — including its software, design, logos and the Reflow name — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the apps in accordance with these Terms.

14. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

15. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

16. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us against claims arising from Your Content or your breach of these Terms, including claims that Your Content infringes a third party’s rights.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the effective date. If changes are material, we will give reasonable advance notice. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
